Vessel Description
This vessel is a 50’ USCG inspected passenger vessel. The hull
is reported ex- US Navy fiberglass hulls, built by Uniflite,
which was purchased for the purpose of conversion and underwent
extensive renovation and modification into a modern passenger
vessel.
The vessel has boarding stations, port and starboard at midship.
Steering bridge is located mid-ship between the boarding
stations. Very well built fiberglass and stainless steel tops
have been built and installed covering the forward and aft
passenger sitting areas. Seating is arrange around the perimeter
of the vessel with center platform seating. The vessel is USCG
inspected and certified for 90 passengers and 2 crew restricted
to Lakes, Bays and Sounds plus limited Coastwise on Catalina
Island.
The conversion appears to have been done in a very shipyard like
manner with extensive use of stainless steel rails and supports.
The vessels have been in storage but has just complete dry
docking and re-certification.
The vessel is driven by a single engine, GM 6-71 diesel.
SERVICE HISTORY:
For several years after conversion this vessel along with a
sistership was used to transport cruise ship passengers from the
ship to shore at Catalina Island. This service was discontinued
and the vessels have been unemployed since.

Converted to Cruise ship tenders mid-1990’s and have seen very
little use. Hulls are fiberglass FRP molded with seating for 92
persons.
POWER:
Single Detroit 6-71, Fuel 140 gallons. Twin Disc MG5091 marine
transmissions. 2” shafts, 3 blade bronze propellers. Hydraulic
helm pump for steering; required alarms; fire and bilge pumps.
Description:
Open USCG inspected passenger vessel with limited coastwise
certificate not more than one mile from land with plumb stern,
round bilge hull, transom stern, open seating with amidships
centerline helm stations, fiberglass and stainless steel Bimini
tops and covers.
Hull layout includes chain locker in bow, watertight bulkhead,
forward open seating area with centerline bench and perimeter
bench seating, raised helm station above boarding areas on port
and starboard, machinery space next aft followed by aft cockpit
with centerline and perimeter bench seating. Both passenger
cockpits are recessed well below the level of the shear line and
are covered by fiberglass hard tops.
ELECTRONICS:
VHF radio, Ritchie Compass, Rudder Angle Indicator. Kobelt
single lever engine controls.
FIRE & SAFETY:
As required by USCG Certificate of inspection. Stability letter
1996. COI valid to June 17, 2007
